Saturday, August 14th 2021

On Saturday, Day 1 of vLEF we will have the following program for you!

Opening Ceremony

10:00 – 11:00 CET

Join the formal opening of the virtual Leo Europa Forum 2021, with welcoming remarks from the LEF team, Swedish and Danish Lions, as well as from LCI. The opening will be immediately followed by the Serious Presentation of Countries, where a number of European Leos will present projects and activities from their countries. High levels of inspiration and excitement are promised!

Viking Museum

11:30 – 12:30 CET

Of course we cannot do LEF2021 Swedania without Vikings, so we are very happy to take you all to a virtual visit of the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde. Here you will learn more about the Vikings, a big part of the history of Scandinavia, as well as see some reconstructed Viking Ships in real life! Or, rather, in real life through your screen.

Leo Workshops

14:00 – 16:00 CET

The Saturday workshops will be all focused on Leos and Leo activities. First, the ILO Council will host a workshop where you get the opportunity to discuss Leo work in a post-pandemic world, and share your reflections and ideas about how Leos could or should work once the pandemic has passed. After this, Melissa Nadeau, Senior Youth Programs Specialist at Lions Clubs International, will host a workshop to discuss how the clubs function in terms of learning, awards, and data, and the input from this workshop will inform the continued development of the Leo Program. Take this chance to make your voices heard and improve the way your club, as well as others, can work in the future!

ILO Meeting

16:30 – 18:30 CET

For ILOs, the Saturday afternoon will be meeting time, and a new ILO Board will be elected! For those of you who are not ILOs, you get a break until the evening activities.

Fun presentation of countries

18:30 – late CET

At the Fun Presentation of Countries, you will have the chance to explore some of your fellow Europeans’ cuisines from the comfort of your own home. A number of country delegations will host cooking classes, where you can cook along and get a taste of, for example, Italy or Belgium. More information about the cooking classes, as well as what ingredients you need to cook along, will be provided closer to the event. After the cooking classes, you can stay on the platform throughout the evenings and chat with friends, play games, or dance!

Sunday, August 15th 2021

On Sunday, Day 2, of vLEF we will have a super fun and engaging day for you. Read more about the program here!

IKEA Museum Visit

10:00 – 12:00 CET

Start of the Sunday in the most Swedish way possible – with a visit to IKEA! Our friends at the IKEA Museum in Älmhult, Sweden, will be offering us a digital tour of the museum, exploring the birth of this global company, the culture that made it possible, as well as talk about topics such as social entrepreneurship and business as a democratisation process. You will have the opportunity to ask questions to our tour guides, and for any aspiring Leo entrepreneurs, this could be a great opportunity to think more about your own entrepreneurship!

Sunday Workshops

13:30 – 15:30 CET

The Sunday will offer a language workshop, where all your questions about the Scandinavian languages, their similarities and differences, will be answered, and where you might even learn some useful phrases. There will also be workshops connected to the European activities LeoFightsHunger and Leo4Green, but as the details around these workshops are not entirely confirmed, we will get back to you with those later!

Closing Ceremony

16:00 – 17:00 CET

At the Closing Ceremony, we say goodbye for this weekend, but not forever. More information around LEF and LEPF 2022 will be presented, and the official selection of the hosts of LEF2023 and LEF2024 will be made. Finally, you may also again hear something from our ILOs, as well as LCI.
